Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in the Oakville area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating construction equipment and a strong understanding of mechanical systems. This role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8–10 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and excavators.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
- Collaborate with construction teams to execute project plans efficiently.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and excavation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operating heavy equipment on construction sites.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
